Post your throwback photos from when you were in Hogan Senior High School or even in junior high school. Post about your long-lost classmate. If and when they do a search for your class, they will be able to find your class here (without having to join Facebook).
I am a Hogan High School alumnus, Class of 1985. I organized Class of 1985's 25th reunion so I know not everyone is on Facebook. I created a blog back in 2009, hoping our classmates would find us, because it was tough contacting most of them back then.
I created the Hogan High School Facebook Page soon after along with facebook.com/groups/Hogan1985/. I have received many messages in the Facebook Page to post about a class' upcoming event or reunion. Or to look for a long-lost friend.
Since I was an IT Product Manager with Pacific Gas & Electric, I am into technology. I thought building a community around HoganSpartans.com would be cool. I do fund this out of my pocket, but I use Google Ads to aid in the cost. So please turn off your ad blockers for this domain if you have them on. Thank you!
It would be great to have at least one contact from each class be an author at the main site. Posts there automatically get posted to the Facebook Page. Finding that long-lost classmate who is social media shy is more likely if and when they do a search on the web.
You can post via email after getting authorized. So you can hit two birds with one stone. Email the main site from your smartphone AND your class site to post at both. Too easy right?
I do also have another reason for maintaining this site: I am a photographer. My weapon of choice is the full frame Sony A7M3. So if your class reunion, graduating senior, or family member/friend needs a photographer, please do contact me.
